So your going on a planned and prepared road trip and now, as part of your planning, you need to decided where to stay on the way to your destination. As not everyone drives a house with wheels most of us need to consider where to sleep on our trip.

Where to Stay: The basic Pro's and Cons of Various Options

Campsite - Campsites are the cheapest option besides from sleeping in your car. They are also usually the most social and provide the most woodsy experience. Often they are however closed in the off season and sometimes require pre-booking and weather tends to have great impact on the enjoyment of your stay. Winter weather, or storms are not usually pleasant to spend in a tent and small campers also don't usual provide the space necessary to pass long periods of time indoors.
